Black soldier fly (BSF) is a resource insect widely distributed in the world. In nature, the larvae feed on animal manure, decaying organic matter, such as carrion, decaying fruits, vegetables and plant waste, and can be used for livestock and poultry manure. harmless treatment.
Black soldier fly larvae reduce fecal pollution while converting feces into insect biomass. The dry weight of the black soldier fly larvae raised with livestock and poultry manure reached 42% to 43%, of which the crude protein content accounted for 42% to 44% of the dry weight, the fat content accounted for 31% to 35% of the dry weight, and the ash content accounted for the dry weight. 11% to 15% of the dry weight, calcium accounted for 4.8% to 5.1% of the dry weight, and phosphorus accounted for 0.60% to 0.63% of the dry weight.
